UNIVERSITY POLICE

The Universities Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) was launched back in September 2010, and covers both Arts University Bournemouth and Bournemouth University.

The team consists of Sergeant Gemma Barber, PC Ian McCue, and PCSO Adam Cleaver.

"We can be seen patrolling the two universities' campuses on a regular basis. Please feel free to stop us for a chat. We also work very closely with our colleagues from the Winton, Charminster and Lansdowne Neighbourhood Policing Teams because they cover the areas where the majority of the town’s students live and spend their time.

We have an office on campus. If you have any community safety concerns or would like to speak to one of us in person, come and see us in Room T108, Talbot House, Bournemouth University’s Talbot Campus. Alternatively you can ring us on 101 or email us at police@bournemouth.ac.uk.

Please note, if a crime is in progress or life is in danger, please dial 999.

You can also raise your concerns at one of our surgeries. These are held every month at Bournemouth University’s Talbot and Landsdowne campuses and Arts University College Bournemouth’s main campus. Visit the Dorset Police website to find out more, the Bournemouth Universities NPT Facebook page also has regular updates. You can also follow us on Twitter and Instagram."

The NPT folks are regularly on campus holding bike tagging events, property marking computers and laptops to help prevent against theft, and educating students about burglary prevention and personal safety.
