DISABILITY CELEBRATION MONTH AT AUBSU
ON BEHALF OF YOUR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES OFFICERS, LUCY & SAM, YOU ARE INVITED TO TAKE PART IN A DIVERSE ARRAY OF EVENTS INTENDED TO HIGHLIGHT EQUALITY AND EMPOWERMENT.
November 22nd - December 22nd
WHAT IS IT?
Disability Celebration Month is the opportunity to learn about and celebrate all abilities - we want to bring more inclusivity into everything that we do at AUBSU - and this month is a perfect way to demonstrate some of the cool things that thanks to your Students with Disabilities Officers, Lucy and Sam, we are able to do.
Of course we also have the AUB Disability and Wellbeing committee, who will be promoting their social media throughout this month so that you have all the information you need to access support, advice and tips all year round. Lucy and Sam have planned lots of fun and interactive events for you to get involved in, so why not take part and make some new friends!

Our very own Students with Disabilities committee (Sam) have teamed up with Give It A Go (Joss & Nuala) to start opening sessions to the wider student community.
How we are doing this is by adapting Give It A Go sessions throughout the year to include the needs for students with disabilities.
To start this, we have a SwD takeover of the last Give It A Go Strength & Balance session of the term on Thursday 5th December 5-6pm at the AUB Dance Studio 2. It will be a Restorative S&B session and it also falls within Disabilities History Month!
Your Strength & Balance instructor is Joy Kao and she is experienced in this field, so the ideal person to deliver Restorative Strength & balance to you all.
It’s still £2 per person per session, so please go along and try out the session and let us know what you think!
