DISABILITY CELEBRATION MONTH AT AUBSU
ON BEHALF OF YOUR STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES OFFICER Ellie, YOU ARE INVITED TO TAKE PART IN A DIVERSE ARRAY OF EVENTS INTENDED TO HIGHLIGHT EQUALITY AND EMPOWERMENT.
November 18th - December 18th
WHAT IS IT?
Disability Celebration Month is an opportunity to learn about and celebrate all abilities - we want to bring more inclusivity into everything that we do at AUBSU - and this month is a perfect way to demonstrate some of the cool things that we are able to do. Your Students with Disabilities Officer Ellie has planned lots of fun events for you to get involved in, so why not take part and make some new friends!
Follow the AUB Disability and Wellbeing committee on social media to keep up to date on the different things going on throughout the month. They'll be keeping you up to date throughout the year with any information you need to access support, advice and tips. Throughout the month the committee will be sharing 'Disability and Me' stories of student's disabled experiences to help to end the stigma around talking about disability.
Keep an eye on @aubsu on Instagram to find the Disability Celebration Month's Friday Podcasts.

Our very own Students with Disabilities committee have teamed up with Give It A Go to start opening sessions to the wider student community.
How we are doing this is by adapting Give It A Go sessions throughout the year to include the needs for students with disabilities. We've got a movement class accessible for all abilities and identities.
For now, these will be a Zoom online session streamed from SportBU. All you need to do is fill in the Participation Form log on (details and password updated), tune in with your camera off if you wish and join us.
This session is open to all AUB students and brings new, fun ways of keeping active from your room.
The Term 1 theme is CONNECT, all you need for this one is yourself, a mat, a bit of space and inform your roomies that you're attending.
