WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH AT AUBSU
March 1st - March 31st
WHAT IS IT?
Women's History Month is the opportunity to celebrate and highlight the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society, in hopes that the day will soon come when it's impossible to teach or learn history without remembering these contributions.
March is a month where we encourage you to study, observe and celebrate the vital role of women in history and our contemporary society. It is also a reminder of the discrimination and violence women had to endure over many years, and many are still fighting for equal rights, which isn’t just a matter of a day or a month.
Women's history month pamphlet
This pamphlet is to champion and highlight all the contributions women have made around the globe, past, present and future as well as to educate about how the rest of the world uses this month to recognise and appreciate this. It is so important to have visibility of the work and voices which have nurtured, pushed and fought for change.
See the full pamphlet online here.
This March, as well as reflecting, here at AUBSU, we want to celebrate some of the amazing women in our lives.
Who would you like to show appreciation for? A friend? Your mum? A colleague?
Simply pop into the AUBSU Office, let us know their details and we'll pop a beautiful postcard in the post telling them how amazing they are!
