Hengistbury Head Walk [rescheduled]

Location: Meet at Southbourne Deckchair

Join Walking & Hiking Society on their trip to explore the beautiful Hengistbury Head in Southbourne! They'll be meeting in Southbourne (easy bus routes are detailed below) and will be walking together 

Distance: 6.7 miles

Level: Intermediate

Meeting location: Southbourne Deckchair at 10.15am. You can find us on Instagram and DM us if you're having any issues. 

Additional Details: We'll be stopping for lunch so we recommend you bring some food and bottled water. Hengistbury Head has restrooms, a café and a place to sit and rest, but we recommend that you bring your own lunch! 

Please book your place by buying a free ticket (please purchase a new ticket even if you previously booked for our cancelled trip). Please note that you will have to purchase your bus ticket/travel yourself and this cost is not covered by the society.

We recommend these bus routes, but you can make your way to the Southbourne Deck Chair [google maps link here] however best suites you! 

Buses: 

Yellow Bus 1 (ask for stop 'Belle Vue Mansions') and M2 (ask for stop 'Soutbourne Crossroads') are about a 30min journey from Bournemouth Square to Southbourne Deckchair.

Yellow Bus 1 departs at 9.30am and 9.45am from Bournemouth Square. The M2 bus departs at 9.30am and 9.50am from Bournemouth Square. (But do check these yourself in case of changes! We used Google Maps.)

Southbourne Deckchair on a roundabout on the clifftop so meet us on the clifftop opposite (not on the roundabout!)
