British Sign Language Workshop (LGBT+ Special)

Tuesday 19 February 2019, 5pm - 6:45pm

Location: K008 (Student Services)

According to the World Federation of the Deaf, there are 70 million people in the world who use sign language to communicate.

We've arranged an intro to British Sign Language workshop to introduce you to the language and teach you some of the basics of signing. By the end of the session, you will be able to communicate in BSL your name, where you live, forms of transport, time, days, months, and dates of birth. This is an LGBT+ special (for LGBT+ History Month) and there will be an extra section on communicating LGBT+ words and phrases.

The session starts at 5pm SHARP, so please ensure you arrive at room K008 (Student Services, ground floor by reception) early.

Places are free but please purchase a ticket to secure your place. Please let us know if you can no longer attend so we can release you place to others.
