Think Tank: The Big One

It's that time of year again where we hold our Annual General Meeting and try to jazz it up a bit by not actually calling it our Annual General Meeting (because Annual General Meeting just sounds really boring and business-ey and corporate, and we're totally not about that).

We rebranded our AGM to something that we think really captures the essence of what it actually is - a place where we chat to different groups of students and attempt to understand the issues that students face here at AUB and what we, as the Students' Union, can do to tackle them. It's a place for generating ideas and deciding how to get students involved to incite real change here at AUB, no matter how big or how small.

It's also the place for you to ask questions and hold the AUBSU Trustees to account, as well as propose changes to the AUBSU Constitution (that's the big boring document that basically tells us what we should be doing and how). If you think we're not doing something that's important to you then now is your chance to let us know so that we can actually make it happen!

I'm still lost. What exactly happens at the AGM?

You tell us the things that you want to happen at AUB. We make note of all the things and discuss some of the finer details (like how to actually make those things happen). We all eat some pizza, and then we all leave and we start planning how we're going to do all of the cool things that you suggested. It's really as simple as that.

Is the AGM/Think Tank actually effective?

Heck yeah it is! Click here to find out a few of your suggestions we've received at previous Think Tank's that we've actually managed to implement.

Sweet, I'm in. When is it?

Our next Think Tank will be held on 28 March 2019, 12:30-1:30pm, in room A025. If you already have some cool ideas you want to raise, why not fill out our online proposal form here
