The AUB Students’ Union (AUBSU) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Digital Media Assistant. You will be responsible for managing all Students’ Union social media channels and the website. This will include creating engaging content, promoting Students’ Union events effectively, including attending some events to record activity for live or future promotion. As students use social media as their primary source of information, accuracy and consistency is key.
The ideal candidate will have experience with all popular social media, in particular: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. They will also be able to write copy and be an effective proof-reader. They will also have excellent customer service skills as well as having highly effective organisational and administrative abilities.
This position will work closely with the Students’ Union elected Sabbatical Officers and Events Assistant to ensure the AUBSU voice is clear across all platforms of communication.
Candidates will need to have GCSE Maths and English, minimum grade C and/or equivalent experience as well as a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
