A bit about your president:

Hello Everyone! I’m Jordan and I’m your newly elected AUBSU President for 2019-20!

Before this role, I studied Fine Art here at AUB as well as got involved with the Student Union by being a Course Rep and being part of Societies such as Life Drawing and the International Society. More personally, I’m really into plants and have recently taken an interest in climbing! I’m friendly, approachable and always down for a chat about how your day’s going.

Throughout the year myself and Stella will be working as part of the AUBSU Team to make Uni life as close to what you’d like it to be as possible. That means we’ll be helping to organise events for you to get on board with as well as generally listening to what you guys want from your Uni experience. We have an open-door policy in the office, so if you want to chat to us, please come and find us!

For those of you that are about to join our AUB community, we welcome you and wish you all the best with settling into to your new chapter! For those returning to us, we hope you’ve had a great break and time to relax and are looking forward to the year ahead. For our students about to start their final year, we wish you every success as you approach the end of the degree, you will do great!

A bit about your VICE president:

Hi everyone, My name is Stella Kajombo and I am one of your newly elected Sabbatical Officers for 2019-20!

I look forward to being, not only your Vice president, but also your voice for any issues, concerns and achievements.

A little about me; I have recently graduated from Fine Art after three incredible years of studying here at AUB. During my time here, I enjoyed meeting new people, getting involved in workshops and events on campus, as well as being part of societies such as the international and Feminist Society.

For Jordan and I, the University is a symbol of community, formed and maintained by its members, which are you guys and the Student Union right there behind you. Jordan and I hope to maintain and better this sense of community and even welcome those who are about to join our AUB family!
